EERIE ELEGANCE HAUNTED HOME SKILL CONTEST
OFFICIAL RULES
NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT IMPROVE AN ENTRANT'S OPPORTUNITY TO WIN. THIS IS A SKILL-BASED CONTEST. THE WINNER WILL NOT BE SELECTED AT RANDOM. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED OR RESTRICTED BY LAW.
1. Sponsor
The Eerie Elegance Haunted Home Skill Contest (“Contest”) is sponsored and administered by Eerie Elegance Decor, Wisconsin (“Sponsor”).

2. Eligibility
The Contest is open only to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are eighteen (18) years of age or older and have reached the age of majority in their state of residence at the time of entry.
Employees, owners, contractors and agents of Sponsor, members of the judging panel, and members of their immediate families or households are not eligible to enter.
The Contest is subject to applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited or restricted by law.
3. Contest Period
The Contest begins on September 21, 2026 at 12:00 AM Central Time and ends on October 5, 2026 at 11:59 PM Central Time (“Contest Period”).
All entries must be submitted during the Contest Period.
Sponsor's records will serve as the official timekeeping method for the Contest.
4. How to Enter
During the Contest Period, an eligible entrant must:
A. Follow the official Eerie Elegance Decor Facebook Page;
B. Follow the official Eerie Elegance Decor Instagram account; and
C. Submit an entry by commenting on the official Haunted Home Contest post on either Facebook or Instagram, in seventy-five (75) words or fewer, responding to:
“Which room in your home would you haunt with Eerie Elegance, and what would your dream version of it look like?”
Limit one (1) entry per person during the Contest Period, regardless of platform.
An individual who comments on both Facebook and Instagram will still receive only one eligible entry. Sponsor may use the individual's first eligible submission as that individual's official Contest entry.
Entries submitted through Threads, direct message, email or any other location do not constitute Contest entries.
Following both the official Eerie Elegance Decor Facebook Page and Instagram account is required for eligibility and must be maintained through winner verification.
Sponsor may request reasonable evidence that a potential winner satisfies the follow requirements.
Tagging another person, sharing a Contest post, sharing the Contest to a Story, making a purchase, joining an email list or performing any other optional activity does not create an additional entry and does not affect judging.
5. Entry Requirements
Entries must:

Be the entrant's own submission;

Be seventy-five (75) words or fewer;

Respond to the Contest prompt;

Be submitted within the Contest Period; and
-
Comply with applicable Facebook and Instagram rules.
Entries may not contain unlawful, threatening, defamatory, obscene, discriminatory or otherwise inappropriate content.
Sponsor may disqualify any entry that does not comply with these Official Rules.
6. Skill Requirement and Judging
This Contest is based on skill.
Winners will not be selected randomly.
Between October 6 and October 8, 2026, eligible entries will be reviewed by a judging panel consisting of three individuals designated by Sponsor.
Each entry will be evaluated using the following criteria:
Creativity and Originality — 40 Points
Originality, imagination and distinctiveness of the entrant's room concept.
Fit With the Eerie Elegance Aesthetic — 30 Points
How effectively the concept reflects gothic, dark-romantic, elegant, mysterious, cozy-dark or unusual home décor.
Visual Storytelling and Detail — 20 Points
How successfully the response allows the judges to imagine the proposed space.
Clarity — 10 Points
How clearly and effectively the entrant communicates the concept within the seventy-five-word limit.
Maximum Score: 100 Points
The entrant receiving the highest final judging score will be the potential winner.
Social-media reactions, likes, follower counts, shares or popularity will not be considered in judging.
Judges will apply the published criteria equally to all eligible entries.
Sponsor's decisions regarding eligibility and application of the published judging criteria are final, subject to applicable law.
7. Tied Entries
If two or more eligible entries receive identical highest final scores following completion of judging, each top-scoring tied entrant will be declared a winner and will receive an identical Haunted Home Giveaway prize bundle or merchandise of equal retail value.
No random process will be used to break a tie.
8. Prize
One anticipated winner will receive one Eerie Elegance Haunted Home Giveaway Bundle, containing:

Total Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”): $253.92 USD.
If additional winners must be awarded prizes because of an identical highest score, each tied winner will receive an identical prize bundle or merchandise of equal retail value.
The prize is not transferable and may not be redeemed for cash.
If an advertised item becomes unavailable for reasons outside Sponsor's reasonable control, Sponsor may substitute an item of equal or greater retail value.
Sponsor will pay standard shipping costs to an eligible delivery address within the fifty United States or District of Columbia.
The winner is responsible for taxes, if any, and expenses not expressly stated as being paid by Sponsor.
9. Potential Winner Notification and Verification
Following completion of judging, Sponsor will contact the potential winner through the social-media account used to submit the winning entry.
Sponsor intends to contact the potential winner no later than October 8, 2026.
The potential winner must respond within twenty-four (24) hours of notification.
Sponsor may require information reasonably necessary to verify the potential winner's identity, age, state of residence, Facebook and Instagram follow status, and compliance with these Official Rules.
If a potential winner cannot be contacted, does not respond within the required period, cannot establish eligibility or is determined to have violated these Official Rules, Sponsor may disqualify that entrant and select the next highest-scoring eligible entry.
Sponsor will never request payment, credit-card information or banking information from a winner in order to claim the prize.
10. Winner Announcement
Sponsor intends to publicly announce the verified winner on October 9, 2026 through Eerie Elegance Decor's social-media accounts.
If additional time is reasonably required to verify eligibility or select an alternate winner, Sponsor may delay the public announcement until verification is complete.
11. Use of Entries
By entering, entrant grants Sponsor a non-exclusive, royalty-free right to reproduce and display the submitted Contest response and entrant's public social-media username for purposes reasonably related to administering, promoting and announcing the Contest and its results.
Sponsor does not acquire ownership of an entrant's submission.
12. Publicity
Except where prohibited by law, acceptance of the prize constitutes permission for Sponsor to identify the winner publicly by social-media username and/or first name and state for purposes of announcing Contest results without additional compensation.
13. Platform Disclaimer
This Contest is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Facebook, Instagram, Threads, Meta Platforms, Inc., or any of their affiliates.
By participating, each entrant releases Facebook, Instagram, Threads and Meta Platforms, Inc. from claims arising directly from participation in this Contest to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Entrants understand that information submitted in connection with this Contest is being provided to Sponsor and not to Facebook, Instagram, Threads or Meta Platforms, Inc.
14. General Conditions
Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who attempts to interfere with the legitimate administration of the Contest, uses multiple accounts to circumvent the entry limit, submits fraudulent eligibility information or otherwise violates these Official Rules.
If circumstances beyond Sponsor's reasonable control materially affect the security, fairness or administration of the Contest, Sponsor may modify, suspend or terminate the Contest to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Any action taken under this provision will be administered in a manner designed to preserve the skill-based nature and fairness of the Contest.
15. Privacy
Information collected from a potential winner will be used as reasonably necessary to verify eligibility, administer the Contest, deliver the prize, communicate regarding the prize and satisfy applicable legal obligations.
Contest entry does not automatically enroll entrants in Eerie Elegance Decor marketing emails or text messages.
